Profession: Bodyguard - Personality: Adrian, or Ian, he'll answer to either, is probably one of the least judgemental people you'll ever meet...so long as you aren't hurting or endangering anybody. He feels that everyone should be entitled to make decisions that make them happy. As a result, he chafes at the level of government control, even if he's managed to work out a life within the confines of that control that satisfies him.
He's generally fairly loose when it comes to expressing affection. His charm can come off as flirty though, really, he doesn't pursue genuine romantic relationships, as although he and Bella may have agreed that they could seek fulfillment of whatever they were lacking in their marriage elsewhere, they'd also made a pact to not allow relations with others to progress to the point where a marriage-hop was on the table. A pact Adrian has only ever been tempted to break once, for he's otherwise been quite satisfied with his marriage.
He's one of those people who, although he could easily and comfortably command the attention of others, will often be found trying to engage a wallflower too shy to join in the fun everyone else is having.

Raised in a commune that promoted harmony, peace, and promiscuity, but tended to gloss over the potential consequences, it came as little to no surprise to anyone in his family when eighteen found Adrian applying for a marriage license with his visibly pregnant fiancee who, if we're being honest, hadn't even really been his girlfriend before they committed to spending the rest of their lives together. They rose to the occasion, though, and it helped that they actually got along pretty well with their clothes on.
The pair decided to move to Philadelphia, feeling it would make it easier to guide their own children in safer exploration practices. They didn't reject the beliefs they'd grown up with, and fully intended to encourage them to explore and learn about themselves, and love and accept others, just for them to be a bit more responsible about it so they didn't have to scramble together a plan when they barely knew what it meant to be an adult beyond having a duty to fulfill.
In it together, so to speak, the young couple were rather open with each other about their needs, concerns, desires and came to an agreement early on that, as long as their first loyalty was to maintaining their own union and keeping their marriage intact, they could tend to the needs they couldn't meet for one another outside of their marriage bed, so to speak. Sometimes they'd do it together, seeking out another likeminded couple, sometimes separately, though they tended to keep those they saw alone to a minimum. It's an arrangement that's occasionally had its bumps, little bouts of jealousy, but they've dealt with them as they've cropped up and, ultimately, they're both happy with it and each other.
Adrian's interest in becoming a bodyguard stemmed not from the desire to knock some heads together (he'll unfailingly try to defuse a situation with words first, except in cases of imminent danger), but from one to make others feel safe and secure. While a good deal of assignments over the years have felt like unnecessary babysitting jobs, a lot was fairly rewarding and made up for the lackluster moments. Another bright spot was his often-partner, always his person, and sometimes, well, formerly, his lover Tyler, who he'd met in training and has been thick as thieves with since. - Intimacy

If we're being really, really honest...if he'd met Tyler under different circumstances, if he hadn't already been on the family way at the time...Adrian thinks he might have made a play for them back then, spared them the experience of their first husband. Thoughts he's had lately, in restrospect. Though his feelings toward Tyler are more than simply friend-with-benefitsly, he does love his wife and kids and wouldn't impulsively shit on that just because Tyler happens to be weeks away from another stint in M.A.N.C.Also, I might kill off the wife later...way later...maybe. Second spouse, and Lou, tbh, would totally have to put up with him feeling a smidge clingy toward Tyler for a bit.
